MissionZERO is . . . a mission to improve the environment through a focus on sustainability. This is an honest, roll-up-your-sleeves effort to educate people and organizations about sustainability, provide the tools and know-how to actually DO something, and then, ideally inspire each other to keep going. And what about the ZERO part? Our mission is to achieve zero environmental footprint. You know how when you go camping, you're supposed to leave the forest just as you found it. It's that same idea. But for our lifetime. In this Meetup, we'll focus on providing real nuts and bolts examples of sustainability related projects - from home to school to the office - and everywhere in between. Each one will provide insight into different categories of sustainability and ideally provide inspiration in your own efforts. So, how do you get started? First, if you can attend a Meetup, please do. Next, sign up to become a member of MissionZERO.org, create your profile, and then get going. If you have an iPhone, try the MissionZERO app so you can have sustainability related information wherever you might be. Have an interesting sustainability challenge or project - go ahead and blog about it on MissionZERO.org. You'll be surprised at how many helping hands there are, when it comes to getting to ZERO.
