Use Solar Power to Dry Your Laundry

Put up a clothes line. Hang it between a couple of trees. It WILL make a difference on your energy use and electricity bill. I love the smell of clothes that have dried outside.

What should I do if I live in an apartment without an outside area?

For apartments a couple of suggestions: a foldable drying rack that could be used indoors or placed on the balcony if you have one. Other option the retractable clothes line that attaches to the wall in the shower area, like the ones you see in hotel and open the window if the bath has one.

I had been using solar power for so long! we have around 300 days in the year of sun, so it's really worth!
the clothes dry really faster and gets a great smell! plus the savings on energy is huge!
    everybody should do the same!

It's amazing how easy it is to complete this mission! We all get complacent w/the luxuries like dryers and don't think about their consequences. I began summer 07 to put items on the line & have even converted my wife. It wasn't a hard sell.

    Give it a try!
