I'm a Boston College undergraduate student on a leave of absence. I'm spending my summer in Brazil, and I'm looking forward to blogging the site with my findings and questions. Most of the issues on sustainability are new to me, but I hope this site will be a place for my growth.

I'm the UK Operations Director. I am responsible for manufacturing at the Interface plants in the UK. One in Shelf, West Yorkshire, England and one in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. I've been with Interface since 1977 (apart from a short break between 1984 & 1985 when I worked at Firths). I've been married to Pam for for 31 years and have a Son, Lee and a Daughter, Katie. My interest in Sustainability was triggered when I was studying, as a mature student, for a Masters degree and using the implementation of BS7750 (which went on to become ISO 14000)into the Shelf facory as basis for my thesis. We subsequently became one of the first company's in the world to register a textile manufacturing company to an environmental management system.
