Confessions of a Radical Industrialist published September 15, 2009

Posted by: Shane Ardell  11 months ago

This week, St. Martin’s Press will publish one of the most inspiring and important business books of our time: Confessions of a Radical Industrialist by Ray C. Anderson, the Chairman and Founder of Interface.

Ray is deeply committed to realizing his goal of making all businesses both environmentally sustainable and profitable. When he approached publishers with his book, he challenged the industry to re-examine its own manufacturing processes.  St. Martin’s Press has done so with this book, producing it in as sustainable a manner as current technologies allow.  Among other steps, St. Martin's Press have printed it on paper that is 100% recycled from 100% post-consumer waste; adjusted the trim size to maximize paper-roll efficiency and eliminate trimming waste; used soy based rather than petroleum based inks; and instead of printing a separate dust jacket they have printed on and wrapped the boards with 100% recycled paper stock.

If you share Ray’s vision for what business can do—must do—to sustain our earth, I hope you will consider joining us in our effort to spread the word.
